My plan to continue delivering for Ward 5.

Building on our progress, I will keep working to make Ward 5 a safer, stronger and more liveable community for everyone.

Safety

I hear every day that people need to feel safer in their homes and community. While we have made progress at reducing violent crime, any safety issue at all is one too many. We still have more to do. In the next term of Council, my priorities are:

  • Better nighttime lighting, helping you feel safe and making crimes of opportunity less attractive

  • More traffic calming measures, including speed bumps and bollards, where residents and city data indicate they are needed

  • Growing Neighbourhood Watch, a program that proves over and over that tight knit communities are the best deterrent of crime

Community

We are proud of the strong sense of community we have all across Ward 5. I believe it is a Councillor’s role to support and further that. Over the next four years on Council, I will:

  • Increase amenities in public spaces, including picnic facilities, better waste removal and new sports fields

  • Extend the Be a Good Neighbour pilot project beyond December 31 2026, giving us the tools to make our community more attractive

  • Continue holding regular public meetings in both Malton and Britannia, focusing on public safety, the city budget and neighbourhood-level issues that arise

Liveability

Mississauga has rapidly evolved from a suburb to a world class city. That transition is an exciting one, but local Councillors must manage the growing pains. If you return me to Council, I will:

  • Advocate for limiting property tax increases to inflation

  • Focus on transit solutions that work for real people, including shift workers and those who work multiple jobs

  • Stand up for small businesses creating jobs in our community
